石英
Quartz is silicon dioxide, SiO2. Agate is a variety of quartz showing dramatic crystal growth patterns. The sample at right is about 20x20 cm and is from Laguna Ranch, Chihuahua, Mexico. 石英是二氧化硅，SiO₂。金刚石是石英的一种，显示出显著的晶体生长模式。右侧的样品约为20×20厘米，来自墨西哥恰霍帕州的拉古纳牧场。
