Liquid nitrogen has a temperature of 77 K at standard atmospheric pressure. Being about one-fourth of room temperature, this is low enough to produce some interesting phenomena. Liquid nitrogen can be held for several hours in a vacuum flask. 液氮在标准大气压下的温度为77 K。这大约是室温的四分之一，足够低以产生一些有趣的现象。液氮可以在真空瓶中保存几个小时。
Liquid nitrogen is cold enough to be below the superconducting transition of the high temperature superconductors like YBaCuO. 液氮足够冷，可以低于高温超导体（如YBaCuO）的超导相变温度。
