This sample of liroconite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Liroconite is an arsenate which contains copper and aluminum with the composition Cu2Al(AsO4)(OH)4.4H2O. The sample at left is about 5x6 cm and is from Gwennap, Cornwall, England.
